Community Options Stages 2nd Annual Cupid’s Chase 5k Run

Feb 7, 2010 Princeton NJ – On February 13, 2010, Community Options, a Princeton-based national nonprofit organization that develops homes and employment supports for people with developmental disabilities will hold its widely attended Cupid’s Chase 5k Run. This year, the organization will hold its 5k throughout 9 states and 24 locations at the same time, on the same day.

On Friday evening October 2nd the Princeton YWCA Breast Cancer Resource Center (BCRC), Kara Stephenson, Director (pictured above), will host the 5th Annual “In the Pink” Fashion Show and Silent Auction at the Westin Hotel in the Princeton Forrestal Village. This annual event is an inspirational celebration of the strength, beauty and spirit of breast cancer survivors, and the courage and compassion of their support network. Stunning fall fashions from local retailers and specialty designers will be modeled by breast cancer survivors together with their husbands, children, friends, doctors, and nurses – a moving reminder of the unified team that supports each woman as she battles this disease.

“In the Pink” Fashion Show and Silent Auction is the Princeton YWCA Breast Cancer Resource Center’s (BCRC) signature awareness and fundraising event. Held for the first time in 2005, “In the Pink” has raised over $80,000, and has become the must-attend event of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Central New Jersey. 100% of the proceeds from “In the Pink” benefit BCRC.
